As a chamber musician he has worked regularly with Alexei Ogrintchouk, Reto Bieri, Radovan Vlatkovich, Liza Ferschtman, Pekka Kuusisto, Nicolas Altstaedt and Rick Stotijn.

Since 2009 he has been teaching the bassoon at the Conservatories in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and The Hague. In 2017 he started a professorship at the Hochschule für Music und Tanz in Cologne, before deciding to return to the Royal Conservatoire The Hague in 2021.

Contemporary classics meet a timeless hit by Sibelius as the internationally best-known orchestra in Finland dives into the deep end of Finnish music under the baton of Dalia Stasevska.

From Osvaldo Golijov to Béla Bartók’s virtuosic Violin Sonata and Georges Enescu’s dazzling Romanian Rhapsody, the concert is a journey through works inspired by the folk music of different cultures. On top of all this, the multi-talented South African Gareth Lubbe amazes listeners as the overtone singing viola soloist.
