UNDER THE SUN OF NAANTALI
3.6.2025 @ 19:00 - 21:00
Warmth, light, and the lightness of summer – in the opening concert of the Music Festival, the sun of Naantali resonates on the frequency of sound waves. The inventor of the string quartet, Joseph Haydn, shaped his music always to please his audience, but with his carefree and beautiful *Sunrise Quartet*, he even surpassed himself. The same can be said about Pyotr Tchaikovsky, whose *Souvenirs de Florence*, inspired by the sun of Italy, is one of chamber music’s brightest favorites. Soprano Tuuli Lindeberg brings her radiant stage charisma to Ottorino Respighi’s *Il Tramonto* and Eduardo di Capua’s classic tune *O Sole Mio*.
