Norwegian chamber orchestra & Pekka Kuusisto

Featuring an all-star cast of Norwegian musicians, the Chamber Orchestra is making a rare visit to Finland to perform under violinist, conductor Pekka Kuusisto. As many as 34 years have gone by since the last visit, which also took place at the Naantali Music Festival. The programme consists of a series of special treats that will take listeners from one mood to another over the course of the concert. Returnal, a new piece by the young composer Anna Berg, addresses questions of life, death and reincarnation, the orchestral arrangement of Brahms’ subtle Clarinet Quintet takes this chamber music classic to a new level, whereas the ominous Chamber Symphony by Dmitri Shostakovich shakes listeners to their very core.

Duration of the concert is appr. 2 hours including an intermission. Doors open 30 minutes before the concert. Tickets for group A 69 €, students and concertgoers under 18 years of age 35 €. Tickets for group B 35 €, students and concertgoers under 18 years of age 18 €.
