 Founded in 2001, Meta4 is one of Finland’s most successful string quartets. Its international career began with victory at the 2004 Dmitri Shostakovich Competition in Moscow.

Private: Patrick Gallois

 French flautist Patrick Gallois has enjoyed a successful international career as both a soloist and conductor. He is a regular guest soloist with major orchestras and chamber music festivals in Europe and the Far East.

Elina Vähälä

 Elina Vähälä is among the most sought-after Finnish violinists in the international music scene. Her sound and virtuosity win praise from music critics around the world and her playing has been praised as dazzling, sensitive and brilliant.

Private: Laura Hynninen

 Harpist Laura Hynninen has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral harpist since the 1990s. She has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, the USA and Japan.

Private: Michel Lethiec

 Michel Lethiec is one of the world’s leading clarinettists of his generation. He has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician, and is also dedicated to teaching. Lethiec has performed a wealth of contemporary compositions and premiered works by numerous composers.

Private: Samuli Peltonen

 Samuli Peltonen is one of Finland’s leading young cellists. He has served as a soloist with several orchestras in Finland and abroad, and has also enjoyed competition success, for example by winning the first International Krzysztof Penderecki Cello Competition in 2008.

Private: Tanja Nisonen

 Horn artist Tanja Nisonen is a member of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and currently serves as Principal of its horn section. She has pursued an international career in this role, serving in such ensembles as the Swedish Radio and Las Palmas Symphony Orchestras. She is also an active chamber musician.

Private: Pauli Kari

 Pauli Kari is a Finnish pianist, composer and producer who has performed as a solo recitalist and orchestral soloist in Europe, the USA, China, Japan and Australia.

Private: Maria Männikkö

 Pianist Maria Männikkö has performed in Europe and the USA, both in recitals and as an orchestral soloist. She has also enjoyed success in international piano competitions. Männikkö has been performing chamber music as a piano duo with Pauli Kari since 2012. Besides her artistic work, she also teaches piano at the Turku Conservatory.

Private: Teemu Kauppinen

 Double bassist Teemu Kauppinen is a regular member of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and has served with many orchestras in Finland and abroad. He is also a sought-after and active chamber musician.

Private: Jussi Särkkä

 Bassoonist Jussi Särkkä has served as 2nd solo bassoonist of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1995. He is a founder member and Principal of the Avanti! Chamber Orchestra and solo bassoonist with the Finnish Chamber Orchestra. He has performed as a soloist in numerous Finnish and foreign orchestras, and at many music festivals.

Private: Tami Pohjola

 Violinist Tami Pohjola, despite her youth, has performed all over Europe and win several national and international competitions.

Private: Ralf Gothóni

 The career of Ralf Gothóni as a pianist, chamber musician and conductor has taken him around the entire globe. He is renowned as a musician who stresses a comprehensive approach to his craft. Gothóni has premiered more than a dozen piano concertos and worked with more than 100 international recording labels.
