Arto Noras 80 years – On the Journey of the Maestro

The 80th birthday year celebrations for legendary cello artist Arto Noras, the founder and Artistic Director of Naantali Music Festival, will begin in Helsinki on 14 May with a unique, Maestro-worthy concert. The evening’s program includes solo performances by Arto and conducted by Okko Kamu an ensemble of 36 leading cellists from Finland comprising Arto’s colleagues as well as his first, second and third generation students. A major celebration of Arto and the cello is planned, which will continue at Naantali Music Festival in June.
