For over 60 years, Lasse Mårtenson, a powerful figure in Finnish music, composed television theme songs, island waltzes, and beloved songs. Now, conductor-composer Johanna Almark brings her critically acclaimed, audience-favorite Mårtenson tribute to Naantali. Night by the Sea, Everything Except Sailing is Futile, Myrskyluodon Maija – these timeless and unforgettable hits, filled with the taste of sea water and life philosophy, will be performed in Almark’s ambitious arrangements for chamber orchestra and vocalist.
