AN EUROPEAN CARNIVAL

6.6.2026 @ 18:00 - 20:00

Tapahtuman kuva

The European Capital of Culture, Oulu, brings its symphony orchestra to Naantali!

Antonín Dvořák’s Carnival Overture celebrates the joy of human life, while a new work by Lara Poe brings together the styles and characters of European cultures. The evening culminates in the Sinfonia Concertante, which Miklós Rózsa composed after writing the music for the gladiator film Ben-Hur. Brimming with blood, sweat, and fighting spirit, the work is a duel between violin and viola in which there is only one winner: the thrill-seeking audience.
