A musician and visual artist, Hynninen has been a member of several Finnish orchestras, including appearances as a soloist with the Avanti! Chamber Orchestra, the Tapiola Sinfonietta and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has performed at countless festivals and made disks and radio tapes, arrangements and recordings in the fields of church music, pop, rock, heavy metal, jazz and contemporary music.
Prior to her career as a freelance artist, Hynninen held permanent positions as Principal Harpist in the Orchestra of the Finnish National Opera and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Her solo projects combine her own music and visual art with a unique and original style.
This will be the world premiere of Olli Kortekangas’ Partita Concertante, a work for cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, harp and percussion. The concert will also include Bach partitas and music by Schönberg. What a programme!
In honorem maris
In honour of the sea, we shall hear words of wisdom, whalesong and beautiful classics. Every one of us can help to protect the Finnish Archipelago Sea in our own way.
Lights and Shadows
The concert moves from light to shadows – it’s a combination of dark clouds as well as comforting pout clouds and sunshine. A specialty is Ralf Gothoni’s Life Views themed piano concerto for two pianists.
