Dalia Stasevska has also conducted the Orchestre National de France, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Her assignments in Finland include conducting the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Tapiola Sinfonietta. She is also renowned in Finland as a conductor in the world of opera, conducting at both the Finnish National Opera and at the Savonlinna Opera Festival.
Dalia Stasevska studied under Jorma Panula at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and under Leif Segerstam at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She completed her conducting diploma with the highest distinction in autumn 2012.
Stasevska won the Conductor Award of the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2020.
Top Irish pianist Barry Douglas and Beethoven’s most famous piano concerto will meet conductor Dalia Stasevska and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra. Jaakko Kuusisto’s Cello Concerto will be interpreted by Arto Noras, to whom the work is dedicated. The premiere of the work at the Naantali Music Festival in 2019 was the composer’s last premiere.
The Lahti Symphony Orchestra, world-renowned for its performances of Sibelius’ symphonies, will also interpret Sibelius’ 7th Symphony.
