The Arto Noras international cello master course 8-17 June 2023
A master course of an internationally renowned cello artist and distinguished pedagog Arto Noras will be organised for the first time 8-17 June 2023 alongside with the Naantali Music Festival. The master course has no age limits, but targets mainly cellists who study in music academies or universities or who have already gratuated.
The master course includes 5 x 50 minutes’ lessons from Arto Noras. In addition, following the other students’ lessons is part of the course, too. A total of 12 cellists will be selected to the course, and as it’s an international master course, the teaching language is English. A pianist will be available for the cellists.
The course fee
The course fee is 485 €. The price includes five personal lessons (50 minutes each) from Arto Noras. In addition the students also follow each others’ lessons, and they can freely attend the Naantalin Music Festival concerts which are not sold out.
The master course concerts
The students will give two concerts during the course:
14.6. at 5pm Afternoon of the cellos at Sibelius Museum with an oppoertunity to perform pieces from your own repertoire accompanied by a pianist (the concert is organised by Sibelius Museum).
17.6. at 4pm Cello master and his apprentices – the final concert of the master course takes place in the Naantali Church with a pre-selcted programme for different sized cello ensembles together with Arto Noras. Inquiries about the concert programme can be made by email.
